Oscar - Best Movie - My choices

Just an exercise. Served more as a review of the nominated movies. In reality, apart from the party, the Oscar is useless in his purpose. The choices are usually frustrating.

If you want to create your own list go to: Academy Awards Database.

My list, the real winners are between parentheses:

- The Color Purple (Out of Africa) - The real winner would be my second choice
- Platoon (Platoon)
- Rain Man (Rain Man) - The nominees were not that great.
- Dead Poets Society (Driving Miss Daisy)
- The Godfather, Part III (Dances With Wolves)
- The Silence of the Lambs (The Silence of the Lambs)
- A Few Good Man (Unforgiven)
- Schindler's List (Schindler's List)
- Forrest Gump (Forrest Gump)
- Braveheart (Braveheart)
- The English Patient (The English Patient)
- Titanic (Titanic)
- Saving Private Ryan (Shakespeare in Love) - WTF?
- The Sixth Sense (American Beauty) - WTF?
- Traffic (Gladiator) - WTF?
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring(A Beautiful Mind) - WTF? The last four years are lazy thinkers choices, or pseudo intellectual choices.
- The Hours (Chicago)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King)
- Million Dollar Baby (Million Dollar Baby)
- Brokeback Mountain (Crash) - WTF? The winner was the weakest competitor and the homophobia was blatant.
- Babel (The Departed)
- Juno (No Country for Old Men) - I still don't get the point of this movie, or There will be blood, as well.
